Environmental, Health & Safety
Casella is dedicated to reducing environmental and occupational health risks by developing equipment and technology for dust, noise and vibration monitoring. The company has provided precision instrumentation since 1799 and supplied eminent figures, including Charles Darwin, with instrumentation for exploration and scientific work.
Casella’s core purpose is to create technology aimed at improving the working environment of employees, while providing robust data and equipment platforms to enable organisations to remain compliant with health and safety regulations
Noise Monitoring
Noise monitoring instruments comprise of sound level meters and noise dosimeters. Sound level meters can be for general spot checks (24x Series), workplace noise assesments (62X Series) or environmental noise surveys (63X Series). Noise dosimeters (dBadge2) are used to asses exposure of mobile workers where noise level is variable throughout a shift.
Air Monitoring
Air monitoring instruments comprise of air sampling pumps and dust monitors. Air Sampling pumps can be used to sample vapuurs, gases, fumes, dust and asbestos including in hazardous environments and are available with media to meet international specifications. Dust monitors usie the latest optical technology with options for both spot checking and long term monitoring
Boundary Monitors
Area and boundary monitors are used at the fence line, such as construction, to monitor emissions from the site. Sites may have limits for noise (often hourly LAeq), dust (PM10 or PM2.5) or vibration (PPV) and boundary monitors can help prevent complaints and manage good relationships with site neighbours.
Vibration Monitoring
Hand Arm Vibration, commonly referred to as HAV syndrome, is caused by exposure to vibration in the workplace can lead to serious consequences, causing long-term injury or impairment. Monitoring gives employers the knowledge that tools and machinery continue to be safe for use after purchase, helping to ensure worker productivity and safety.
